Our Accomplishments
My Hometown Carrollton strives to create a sense of community by inspiring local promotion for our historic square, the heart of our town.
Since starting our organization in 2022,
we have accomplished many tasks for our local community.
Your support makes all of this possible:
-Graduated from the MMSC Community Empowerment Grant program.
-Facilitated $5,000 to local property owners for the new Facade Grant program, in partnership with the Town of Carrollton.
-Opened our office on the square, with the CCACC graphic design team to install our sign.
-Completed NEW TREX Plastic Recycling Program for a FREE community bench.
-Installed 4 new urban vase planters and planted seasonal flowers in brick planters.
-Hosted annual Spruce Up the Square Volunteer Days.
(cleaned windows, repaired broken benches, decorated planter boxes, picked up trash)
-Coordinated light pole banners with CMU and Chamber of Commerce.
-4Imprint Grant Award feature for non-profit promotional materials.
-Awarded MFA Oil grant to provide locally made vendor booths.
- MO Humanities Feature Five Small Town Showcase competition award for podcast and short-film promoting Carrollton, MO.
-Hosted a community Town Hall & Community Presentation event.
-Completed a community survey with needs for the Carrollton square.
-Hosted annual Beer Stein Holding Contest and Wine Pull fundraising events.
-Started a merchandise booth for My Hometown swag, at the Carroll County Mercantile.
-Installed new Back To Our Roots, Agriculture in Carrollton- light pole banners, with the Mo Humanities grant.
-Hosted annual Piccadilly Ladies' Night Out fundraisers.
-"Welcome Home Gallery" Door Photography contest winner with MMSC.
-Outstanding Community Empowerment Grant Community award from MMSC.
-Hosted First Friday Festivals to promote the square and provide public entertainment.
-Hometown Homes Tour annual fundraising event.
-First mural on the Carrollton square, project underway.
-Created a Carroll County Courthouse tree & landscaping inventory and donated 3 trees so far for the courthouse lawn: Maple, Dogwood, Redbud.
